kWh Index

Sunnova

Sunnova is behind the meter serving 52,766 residential customers in California, at an average residential price of 27.55¢ per kilowatt-hour.

That price is derived, and it is annual. It is total residential revenue divided by total residential sales in EIA’s 2024 survey — not a tariff, and not this month’s rate. For what a kilowatt-hour costs in California right now, see the state page, currently 34.74¢.

How often the power goes out

Sunnova did not report reliability figures in the 2024 survey. 227 of 972 utilities do not, and an absence here is exactly that — not a claim of an outage-free year.
